IDH has been building websites since 2002

My name is Ben Tortora and IDH is my company. I started IDH in 2003 whilst I was studying computing and business management at university. I was mainly building websites for family and friends and small little projects that were part of university work or testing out new technologies.

In the last year, I started taking IDH seriously and putting all my energy into the business as I felt I could offer something after working for various companies in both the web and marketing space.

What IDH does different from other studios?

What I noticed is that there are too many different agencies specialising in too many different areas. I discovered most businesses just wanted someone to manage all their online related tasks for them.

So I decided to call this job role website managers. A website manager should be able to do all of the following tasks:

• Updating the existing content so that it is up-to-date and relevant
• Creating and uploading new content
• Taking, modifying and inserting photos and galleries
• Writing blog posts with useful information
• Interacting on social media
• Generating video content
• Making sure all SEO best practices have been applied to the website (the markup, the architecture, the internal linking, etc)
• Manage the paid-per-click campaigns
• And inform businesses when something new pops up online

How many people work at IDH?

At the moment, Ben is the only fulltime member of staff. IDH does use a network of freelancers and contractors, and as the business grows, we will be continually adding staff.

Where is IDH located?

IDH is based in Sydney, Australia and has an office in the Parramatta area and desk space in the CBD of Sydney.
